With our climate reporting feature, you can see your company's environmental footprint, and your employees can see their own. Increased awareness of sustainability and climate gives you a better starting point for reducing carbon emissions!
How to reduce your environmental footprint using the payroll system
The climate report feature under expenses and travel in our payroll system shows you just how the company's business trips affect the environment. This is a good tool for making informed decisions about how to reduce your climate footprint.
Here's how it works: Every time employees record travel-related expenses, the system automatically calculates their carbon emissions and shows it to you in a clear report. Then you can take immediate action to choose greener options. Perhaps you could use more environmentally friendly means of transport? Or reduce the frequency of journeys and replace them with digital meetings? Or other sustainable measures -- the possibilities are many.
Always up-to-date and accessible insights
You have access to a dashboard that shows where the largest emissions come from, which periods generate the greatest footprint, and whether there is an increase or decrease compared to the past.
You can choose how long you want to see the data for. This makes it easier to identify trends and patterns in the emissions of the enterprise.
Employees can also get an overview of their own environmental footprint. Namely, they have access to their own dashboard that shows their personal emissions. The dashboard is automatically accessible via the home screen in Expense, the solution for expenses and travel. Employees can also find their dashboard in the Settings menu of the Visma Employee app, where the emissions data for expense reports are always up to date and available.

Adaptation and flexibility in emissions monitoring
For companies that want additional control, the payroll system has these customization options:
- Filtering by cost units for better insight.
- Exclusion of specific cost types from the report to obtain more relevant data.
- Changing MCC groups for cost types even after climate reporting is enabled.
