What is Visma Net?

The system is supplied as a shelf, with several modules and integrations adapted to your needs, covering, among other things:

  • Finance and Accounting
  • Logistics and warehouse
  • Salary and HR
  • Reporting
  • Project accounting
  • Project Management

The web-based system arguably makes your workday more efficient in that you can:

  • Avoid spending unnecessary time thinking about how to complete your tasks — let the system take care of it for you.
  • Streamline by automating and standardizing financial processes with Visma.net Financials.
  • Use innovative functionality to manage sales, purchasing and inventory.
  • Replace manual and time-consuming work with easy-to-use and automated processes in Visma.net Payroll
  • Make data-driven decisions with OneStop Reporting.
  • You have a system for everyone who bills hours in projects with Visma.net Project Management.
  • Get extended control over budget, revenue and costs associated with your projects.

Less for you to think about thanks to automation

The system works for you, and tasks such as billing, transactions, reporting and approvals go automatically. All dashboards and reports are always up to date, and you get instant access to the information you need. In addition to work tasks, all updates also occur automatically. And when the system upgrades itself, that happens quickly.

“Our customers expect their financial statements to be up to date all the time. Therefore, we need to understand the integrations and understand how they work. You no longer have to be strong professionally, you have to be strong on the technical side as well. Thomas Håvedal who is an authorized accountant in Cloud Controller.

Visma Net interacts with many other systems due to a strong API that is open to everyone. The system is tailored to your needs, and you can choose from integrations that have already been developed, or connect your own systems.

“The sum of automation and functionality means that we will eventually work faster. Now we need to learn how to use it in the best possible way, then we will save time. We discover new opportunities every day in the solution. Stian Vaaland, General Manager of Rig Supply.

The transition will require that little extra of you

Norges Vel has previously used both Visma Global and Visma Business. Roger Leren is Head of Finance and Administration, and says that they switched to Visma Net with a clear mindset of rethinking.

“It's not our routines that determine how to do things — it's the capabilities of the system that tell us how to do it. Of course, there are some limitations, but we start from the premise that “this is Visma.net ERP”, and then we set up the routines accordingly. It can be a bit challenging to correct errors in the system, since it is not just to correct manually. You need to know where the discrepancy lies and step back a few steps.

“That said: Our calculations show that we save about half a year's work working in Visma Net,” he clarifies.

“The most important thing is that you choose good consultants who know their job and who are able to ask the right questions. Roger Leren, Head of Finance and Administration at Norges Vel.

Norges Vel brought in several offers, but quickly realized that the easiest thing was to switch to Visma Net, partly because they already used several of the solutions in the Visma.net portfolio, integrated with Visma Business. Leren also believed that the transition would be easier for employees when they could relate to much of the same.

Most important of all, according to Leren, is which consultant you choose. It is not Visma, but a Visma certified partner who needs maps, implements and follows up each individual customer.

“The most important thing is good consultants who know their job and who are able to ask the right questions,” he says.

It's about what exactly your company needs in a busy everyday life, and how a system can solve challenges that are not solved today. To get started with the assessment, it is always helpful to hear how other businesses in the same situation think.

That's why these different companies chose Visma Net, and this is how they use the system

“Today we use a combination of both Excel and the new cloud-based solutions, but we want to get where all the information is in the systems, so that we can get rid of Excel altogether. It is not possible to steer your business to where we want with Excel, when we are sitting waiting for the facet. I am very much in favor of the fact that the visma.net world has many systems that are linked together and that we drop all the external integrations. Everything should work as smoothly and smoothly as possible, and it does so now with both Payroll, expense, calendar and smartdok. Chief Accounting Officer of Kronsteingruppen AS, Kim Vevle

“The biggest upside for us is the simplification of invoices and the change of bills. Before, these were manual processes, and we had to take care to copy substrates, and print substrates from smartdok and Compello, which were then our processing programs. With Visma we get away from this since everything is inside the systems already. As long as the employees are good at allocating hours and invoicing costs, invoicing is almost in the box.

“We also use Visma.net as a lookup tool, in addition to extracting reports that show at all times how we stand and where we experience discrepancies. We have multiple reports gathered on one platform. We also have more opportunities than in the past, and that's an advantage when we have more company. After all, there must be a reasonable division of labor between the finance department and us who will manage the project. It gives us the flexibility of the system.

It will run on rails from A to Z. It's about us being able to spend our resources on the right things. It doesn't mean people have to go, but that we'll get a much better job done and we can spend time on what we're good at. General Manager of ByggTeam Hadsel AS, Håkon Hanssen

“There are always some who struggle with changing, but most of it is about setting. There are many functions in the forest of functions you find in the system, but it is important to focus only on the trees that one is actually going to use. General Manager of ByggTeam Hadsel AS, Håkon Hanssen

“Customers were doubled up by debt collection, sometimes several customers were merged and the invoice went to one customer. It went beyond both our liquidity and our reputation. That's why we enabled the AutoCollect service as integration into Visma.net ERP, which works fine. I used to have to do a lot of double work, but that's gone now. We are also seeing that the payments are coming faster. Wenche Fagerbekk in Mid IT

“The logistics module in Visma.net ERP is perfect for sales, procurement, warehousing, requests and reporting. Therefore, the system is equally suitable for larger logistics companies and companies planning for growth in the future. Thomas Håvedal who is an authorized accountant in Cloud Controller.

“All companies want to get bigger, but that's not my motivation for using ERP, and as far as Payroll. Although we are growing, I am working on this alone and my motivation therefore is to make things faster and easier. It's about using solutions that make accounting and finance easier for me. CFO of Deadline2Online, Laurence Massem
