Deadline2online, better known as d2o started in Bergen in 2000. Three years later they took the business to Oslo, and in 2010 they started an office in the United States,” says CFO Laurence Massem.
Since then, the company has grown to 30 employees in Norway, Sweden, the United States and Vietnam, and with offices in Germany, Thailand, India and Ukraine. Di has more than 500 clients in over 40 countries, and the goal is clear — growth and expansion into even more offices.

Laurence is well versed in financial systems.
“I have always wanted to work with the latest technological and innovative news, as it makes my job easier. The first system I used was called Visma Avendo.
In 2008 Laurence transitioned to Visma Global and Visma Payroll.
“These were two separate solutions, and they were located locally on a server in Oslo. At the time, there were not enough cloud-based solutions. In order to be able to do financial tasks faster, it was precisely cloud solutions that I was looking for. Therefore, in 2020 I started using the payroll system Payroll, and in 2021 also the finance section of Visma Net.
As the driven Visma user Laurence is, it didn't take long for her to be well up and running with both systems.
They are easy to use, no matter what level you are at. They provide a good overview, and the menus are easily accessible — especially the ones I use frequently, such as invoices, payments and payments.
Laurence stresses that it is the time she saves that gives her the most value.
“What is good financially is daily tasks where you have a schedule. Among other things, you can set up automatic schedule for incoming and outgoing invoices, payments and accruals. I do not want to spend time on this, and now it passes by itself. And since there are many schedules that can be run automatically, it allows me to avoid a lot of time-consuming small tasks.
“I can go anywhere in the world tomorrow and work with Visma Net, and I can access from any PC I want.
Another example of automation is AutoPay Inbox — it means Laurence no longer has to manually import and export payments.
As long as the layout is right, everything goes by itself. There are no restrictions and I can pay, send and receive invoices to and from all over the world.

Both the payroll system and the financial system in Visma Net are feature-rich programs. Laurence says that they have adopted several of the features already.
“In addition to the payroll system that I mostly sit in, the employees bring vacation and absences themselves directly into the system. I am constantly in control, so I can change if, for example, something is done wrong. The same goes for travel and outlays. The staff are putting in and all I have to do is approve.
The total package of Visma Net consists of finance and accounting, payroll and HR, reporting, logistics and warehouse, project management and project accounting — and you choose the functions you need.
“We have no need for logistics and warehousing as we only sell services. But I use the automatic invoice handling, reporting and analytics features, as well as Mobile Manager — which allows me to do management tasks via mobile, such as approving invoices.

“All companies want to get bigger, but that's not my motivation for using ERP, and as far as Payroll. Although we are growing, I am working on this alone and my motivation is therefore to make tasks faster and easier. It's about using solutions that make accounting and finance easier for me. Now I have everything I need and I have no need for external programs to get a complete solution.
