Competition in the market is fierce. Companies are fleeing from shop windows to online stores. Tom Sognebro, Sales and Marketing Manager at Hovdan-Poly, believes that they have been missing exactly that presence.

The plan is to offer the retailers online buying portal. They have long wanted to be able to order online. In addition to the B2B focus, they will also open up to the public, i.e. private customers.
“The most important thing for us is to take good care of our dealers. I hope that they will also benefit from this, so that we can deliver faster, have more time for customer support and support when they need it.
“We understood that we had to do something about the server park. The old system had to be run from the office. Upgrading servers is a significant cost. Was that the path we wanted to go? The answer to that was and is no. We want to modernize ourselves, which will allow us to work much more smoothly. We must not be connected to the wall to work in the system, but be able to work from wherever entirely in the country.

The whole enterprise went into a very demanding phase and thought that as long as they just mobilized, then it would go seamlessly.

It's been long nights with short deadlines. After all, we are talking about working with basic data up to six Excel documents that should be merged into one master document. The longest Excel document was 17,000 lines, and nearly 40 columns of product information. You shouldn't have a single mistake when you're done.
Sognebro says he would still do the same again. They constantly adjust small mistakes and their colleagues find new opportunities they had no idea existed.
