About Rig Supply
Rig Supply was started in 2000 and is engaged in trade in oil and gas, more specifically protection and handling of pipes. They have three permanent staff and one apprentice, and expect to end at 26 million in turnover for 2022.
Rig Supply lived well with Mamut until the pay module disappeared. They did not want to deal with several different systems and therefore switched to Visma Net. Now they have finances, logistics and payroll in one place.

Stian Vaaland, General Manager at Rig Supply, says that they are pleasantly surprised by the system — every single day.
Stian says they spent about a year probing the market.
“Visma Net was, in other respects, cost-wise. However, we went through a very good process with Jostein Gjerde (head of department at Visma partner Abacus IT). We had good chemistry and we got quick and good answers to what we were wondering. The dialogue with Jostein gave us peace of mind,” he says.

The most important factor for the choice was a good logistics module.
“Logistics is the most important part for us, we need to keep it under control. We wanted to optimize our warehousing and logistics processes, which is why we went for Visma Net. Here the system was by far the best. In addition, we could make the adjustments we wanted, says Stian, and continues:
“In terms of logistics, I think the system is simply amazing! We learn new functionality every day and are constantly pleasantly surprised.

The company got a demo client and tested the solution in parallel with Mamut. That way, they had time to get used to the new system. In addition, they have taken digital courses and had training with advisors from Abacus IT.
For the most part, it has gone very well. We have certainly worked our way through some challenges. We're struggling a bit with the banking module, there are some bugs we're working our way through. The layout for expenses and expenses was not entirely adapted to our way of working, but there Abacus IT has helped us with a solution.

Although the new system came about as a result of a defunct pay module, Stian still wants to become more efficient.
“The sum of automation and functionality means that we will eventually work faster. Now we need to learn how to use it in the best possible way, then we will save time. We discover new opportunities every day in the solution,” says Stian.

The team from Abacus IT has consisted of trainee Hanne Hermansen, in addition to the consultants Dirkaft Saleem and Håkon Jørgensen. A young team, but according to Stian, they have delivered to gold.
It's been a great team! “I'm very impressed with all three,” he said.
“Hanne is a trainee and I have to say she has been a pleasure to work with! She wants to learn, and it feels good. I can't get enough bragging from her, Abacus gets a star there! She has been extremely positive and has a brilliant being. The things she can't, she checks up and comes back with.
