Hello, Ruth Hauksdóttir! Who are you?
-- Hey! I am an accounting officer in Åsen & Øvrelid Røberg AS. Here I am responsible for everything in accounting, payroll and personnel, along with three or four other colleagues in the administration.
How did you guys work before? What made you change your system?
“We used Visma Global, and it was a rather cumbersome way of working. Everything was on paper -- we had almost nothing on automatics. It triggered us to transition to a fully digital world with a cloud-based accounting system and cloud-based storage of all documents.
“It's really nice that Visma Net has an open API.”
What made you choose Visma Net?
“We contacted Iteam, a Visma supplier here in western Norway. We knew we wanted easier reporting for projects and that everything had to be in the cloud. Very soon we found out that Visma Net met our needs. Then the choice was simple.
Have you connected to third-party solutions?
“Yes, it's very nice that Visma Net has an open API. We have continued to use SmartDok for timesheets, which are now integrated against the module for project accounting and the module for payroll in Visma Net, respectively. In addition, we use ByggOffice for calculations, which also speaks to the module for project accounting. And then the payroll module is integrated against the general ledger.
What are your top three favorite functionalities?
— The module for accounting is worth gold. I like almost everything in it, really. Approval module too — it's so easy to send, approve and keep track of your invoices without taking much time. We always get a notification every time invoices are approved, so we don't have to purr on each other.
— In addition, the Calendar module is very good. I like that the whole of Visma Net is modular, although it took some getting used to it. In Calendar we record everything about holidays and absences. The employees always have an overview of their own data, and so it is easy for me as a manager to approve.
